Motor recovery after stroke with consequent regain of function is promoted by physical
therapy and exercise, thanks to the changes in cortical reorganization according to
residual neuroplasticity. Four main factors are considered as the major determinants
of motor recovery: early intervention, task-oriented training, amount and scheduling
of practice, and degree of participation [1,2].
Stroke rehabilitation is being vastly improved through advanced robotic and neuroscience
technology. As the entire rehabilitation process is time-consuming and
labor-intensive, robots function as an alternative and a supplement to the one-to-one
